Test Management Unit

Skill testing process begins with the classification of occupations into different categories. It is followed by the development and revision of the Occupational Skill Standard. Then the information regarding the advertisement for the skill test is dispatched to the public through print and electronic media. The applications for the skill test are collected from the interested individuals and verified. The candidates filing the application forms correctly are provided admit card. Then the date and venue for skill test is fixed. All the necessary arrangements i.e. tools, equipments and materials for the test are made as per the requirement. And skill test are conducted in the designated date, time and venue. The skills of the candidates are evaluated by Test Managers and Assessors. The successful candidates are then provided certificate that indicates their performance level on specific skills. There are altogether 6254 Assessors and 409 Managers from different background helping to manage skill test.

Skill test is conducted at any time during the year within 3 weeks after the submission of application form and deposition of the test fees. Generally, it is conducted within 1 week in Kathmandu valley and 3 weeks outside the valley after receiving the application form. The basic requirements for the skill test are; citizenship, certificate, PP size photo-2 copies, training completion certificate and experience certificate.
