Certification is the final assessment of an individual’s knowledge, skills and performance level in any specific occupation. It is the final evaluation of theoretical and practical knowledge on any particular areas of occupations. Corresponding performance test is generally conducted by a tripartite team of three experts from different organizations i.e.; employer, training provider, professional organization by using performance standards testing instrument/check lists. The certification process involves a number of tasks i.e. evaluation of performance, preparation of result certificate, submission of the result to the Board, publication of result after its approval, keeping record and distribution of the certificate to the candidate. Currently, there are 52 appointed testing centres and another 740 training centres for carrying assessment of the skill and their certification.
